    • Kaukauna - Russell P. Natrop, age 79, died Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He was born in Kimberly on May 22, 1939, to the late William and Ellen (Mc Daniel) Natrop. Russ married Elizabeth Vander Loop on October 14, 1961, at Holy Cross Parish, in Kaukauna. They had many blessed years together. Russ worked as a journeyman machinist before switching to pattern making. He worked at Perfect Pattern for over 30 years until his retirement at the age of 65. Russ was dedicated to the perfection of his craft and enjoyed the interaction with his coworkers. He also enjoyed fishing and looked forward to his annual Canada trip. Russ was always first to crack a joke and could be depended on for his sense of humor. In his free time, he enjoyed finding out how things worked and modifying them to his own inventions. Russ was a proud and loving father and grandfather, and above all, loved spending time with his family.

Russ is survived by his wife of 57 years, Betty; children: Kelly of Appleton; Ronald (Silvia) of Kaukauna; Stephen of Heber City, UT; and Craig (Linda) of Fairbanks, AK; grandchildren: Jakoby and Ryan; siblings: Gordon Natrop and Mary (David) Janssen; mother-in-law, Dorothy Vander Loop; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Vonnie Natrop, Jack (Angela) Vander Loop, Shirley Swanningson, Joseph (Rose) Vander Loop, Judy (Norm) Schley, Dick Vander Loop, Gary (Mary) Vander Loop, Mike (Janet) Vander Loop, Lynn (Nick) Popp, Tim (Bonnie) Vander Loop, Tom (Angie) Vander Loop and Jim (Sherry) Vander Loop. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Russ was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Henry Vander Loop; siblings: Margaret (Don) Hopfensperger and Donald Natrop; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Bernice Natrop, Robert Swanningson, Reuben Schley, Nanette Vander Loop and Patricia Hartl.

A private funeral will be held at a later date. To sign the guest book, please visit oconnellfh.com.
