Van Lieshout, Mrs. Orville (Bernadette) Mrs. Orville (Bernadette) Van Lieshout, 90, Bay Settlement, died Monday, December 5, 2005, at a local nursing home. Born in New Franken, July 9, 1915, she is the daughter of the late Theodore and Florence (Laundrie) Schott. Bernadette was very active in 4H as a youth and adult where she learned many traditions which earned her ribbons throughout her lifetime. She worked at the Sumner Larsen Canning Company and later was asked to work at their family home. Bernadette married Orville Van Lieshout September 4, 1940, at St. Kilians Church, New Franken, and just celebrated 65 years of marriage. Together, the couple worked the family farm through thick and thin. Bernadette and Orville have been deeply rooted in the Catholic faith their entire lives. The family would often clean hickory nuts while praying the rosary. Bernadette was a longstanding member of Holy Cross Church and the Rosary Altar Society. She is survived by her husband, Orville, Bay Settlement; five children and their families, Norb and Carol Van Lieshout, Green Bay; and their children, Dan (Cathy) Van Lieshout, Christine Stewart, Karen (Jay) Wisneski; Sandi and the late Donald Van Lieshout, Casco; and their children, Steve (Kathy) Van Lieshout, Bill (Dawn) Van Lieshout, Sue (Rick) Lewins, and Jeff Van Lieshout; Rosemary "Rosie" Corsten Vander Kelen, Green Bay; and her children, Chad Corsten, Cari (Jake) VanOoyen, Becky (Brett) Roberts, and Sarah (Kevin) Schwarten; Roger and Barb Van Lieshout, Green Bay; and their children, Scott (Toni) Van Lieshout and Paul Van Lieshout; Joanne Perrault, Green Bay; and her daughter, Amy Perrault; 18 great grandchildren; 12 brothers and sisters and their spouses, Gen Pigeon, Ethel Mae Linzmeier, Hilary (Delores), Richard (Bernadine), Robert (Donna), Cletus (Grace), Marcel (Eleanor) Schott, Marion (Bob) Lardinois, Joan (Richie) Bertrand, Roselyn (Bert) VandenPlas, Rosalie (Eddie) Kinjerski, and Lorraine (Leonard) Loberger; many nieces and nephews. Bernadette was preceded in death by her parents; infant brother, Andrew; one son, Don; infant granddaughters, Diane and Donna Van Lieshout; two sons-in-law, Mike Corsten and George Perrault; two brothers-in-law, Harry Pigeon and Alvin Linzmeier; mother-in-law and father-in-law, William and Mary Van Lishout; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Walter and Lucille Van Lieshout. Visitation at MALCORE Funeral Home, University Avenue at Baird Street, Wednesday (TODAY), from 3 to 8 p.m. Parish wake service 7:30 p.m. Wednesday (TONIGHT). Thursday's visitation will continue at Holy Cross Church, 3009 Bay Settlement Road, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Holy Cross Church with the Rev. Thomas Hagendorf, O.Praem. officiating. Entombment at Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in her name. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Rev. Thomas Hagendorf, O.Praem. as well as the staff of Odd Fellows Rebekah Home for all of the care and concern during her stay there.
