    • Franklin Potter, age 75 died on Sunday, March 30, 2008, at St. Paul Home. He was born on March 2, 1933 in Chippewa Falls to the late Arthur and Margaret (Burrows) Potter. Franklin briefly attended University of Wisconsin in Madison and then enlisted in the Air Force where he was stationed in Waco, Texas. He met Nancy Cahoe at Camp Wabeek while working there in the summer. They got married on January 6, 1954 in Appleton. Franklin was a Product Manager for carbonless paper at Appleton Papers for twenty-five years. He served as alderman for Kaukauna, also served on the School Board for Kaukauna High School, coached youth basketball, was a Cub Scout Leader, and was a member of the Kaukauna Lions Club and attended Christ the Rock Church.

      Franklin is survived by his wife of fifty-four years: Nancy; his children: Thomas (Alison) Potter of Madison; Diana (Bob) Schuh of Kaukauna; Cathy Potter of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Richard (Jill) Potter of Boulder City, Nevada; his grandchildren: Ashley, Trevor and Aubrey Potter; Adam and Chad Schuh; Duncan and Dylan Clauson; Margot, Kira and Lani Potter; a and a sister: Mildred (Roger) Smith of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Franklin was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

      The funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 6, at 4:00 PM at the funeral home. Pastor John Kieffer of Christ the Rock Church will lead the service. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 PM until the time of the service. A memorial fund will be established for Parkinson Disease research.
      The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at St. Paul Home for the love and care given to Franklin, and to our entire family. Your kindness will always be remembered.
