- Graveside services for Robert J. Ives, 70, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park in Riverside. He died Sunday of heart disease at Kaiser Permanente Riverside Medical Center. Friends may call from 1 until 5 p.m. today at Thomas Miller Mortuary in Corona. Mr. Ives, who was born in Dixon, Ill., lived in Riverside 15 years. Previously he lived in Fontana 18 years. He was a self-employed truck driver for 45 years before he retired in 1996. Mr. Ives enjoyed music, playing the harmonica and shooting pool. He enjoyed animals, especially horses. He is survived by his wife, Janette; three daughters, Mary Drees of North Hollywood, Julie Ferrante of Norco and Peggy Nicholson of Lake Forest; a son, Michael of Van Nuys; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
