      Malinski, Esther A.
Esther A. Malinski, 85, De Pere, was called home to heaven on Friday, June 20, 2008, at Unity Hospice in Ledgeview, surrounded by her children. Esther was born October 14, 1922, to the late William and Margaret (Vanden Bloomen) Van Handel in Seymour, Wis. She married Ervin Malinski on February 24, 1941, at St. John Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on July 19, 2001. Prior to retirement in 1979, they operated a dairy farm in De Pere. Esther enjoyed playing cards, watching the Lawrence Welk show and listening to Daniel O'Donnell music. She was a very kind and loving person and a loving "mother." She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her six children: Donna Streckenbach, Green Bay; Dennis Malinski, Illinois; Daniel (Candi) Malinski, De Pere; Debra Malinski, Green Bay; Diana (Dan) Cholewinski, Appleton; Douglas (Sharon) Malinski, Green Bay. She has 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Also a brother: Raymond S. (Jack) Van Handel, Seymour; two sisters: Elizabeth (Betty) Martin, De Pere; Grace (Doyle) Jordan, Oneida; and a brother-in-law: Norbert Malinski, Las Vegas.
Besides her husband Ervin and her parents, Esther was preceded in death by three sisters: Florence Peotter, Agnes Nelson and Mildred Daymon; two brothers: Raymond J. Van Handel and George Wm. Van Handel and a sister-in-law: Leona Malinski.
Friends may call at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Oneida on Thursday, June 26, 2008, from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. with Father Dave Koch officiating.
