      Vanden Elzen, Elizabeth "Liz" Elizabeth "Liz" Vanden Elzen, 87, De Pere, died Saturday morning, Nov. 19, 2005, in a local hospital. The daughter of the late Reinhard and Delia (Scray) Vanden Elzen was born October 8, 1918, in the town of Rockland. On June 9, 1945, she married John Vanden Elzen at St. Mary's Church in DePere. He preceded her in death on June 4, 1985. Liz was a caregiver all her life and enjoyed the outdoors and playing cards. Survivors include one daughter, Mary Ann and Barry Schumerth, one son, Patrick and Mary Vanden Elzen, De Pere, her grandchildren, Jay and Wendy Schumerth, Dale and Cornell Schumerth Kyle and Lisa Schumerth, and Amanda and Evan Vanden Elzen great-grand children, Noah, Annika, Justin and Sophie Schumerth. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, one daughter, Betsy Vanden Elzen, and her siblings, Cecelia Hannon, John Van Deurzen, Francis Van Deurzen, Leo Van Deurzen, Sister Odile, Josephine Hager and Joseph Van Deurzen. The visitation for Mrs. Vanden Elzen will be held on Monday morning at St. Mary Catholic Community on Pope John XXIII Circle off Sportsman Road, town of Ledgeview. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon on Monday, November 21, 2005. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 noon on Monday at the church with the Rev. John H. Harper officiating.
