      Brittnacher, Raymond J. Raymond J. Brittnacher, 86, Greenleaf, passed away Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007, at a local nursing home. He was born July 5, 1920, in Greenleaf, son of the late John and Myrtle (Gilbert) Brittnacher. He graduated from Wrightstown High School and married Bernice Kaiver on June 24, 1944, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Glenmore. She preceded him in death on Dec. 16, 1994.

      Ray farmed all his life on the family farm in Greenleaf. He also worked at Nabisco until his retirement. Ray was a member of Midwest Breeders Assoc., Greenleaf 4-H Club, was active with the St. Paul Catholic Church auctions, and enjoyed showing purebred Holstein cattle at the Brown County Fair. Ray also enjoyed his flowers, trees, feeding birds and the "Ledge."

      Survivors include his five children, Kenny (Teresa) Brittnacher, Linda Brittnacher, Sandy Reetz, Roger Brittnacher, and Lisa (John) Thibodeau; 11 grandchildren, Michelle, Becky, Matthew, Jason, Ben, Val, and Laurie, Danielle and Anna, Katie and Andrew (Sarah); four great-grandchildren, Ashley, Hannah, Alex, and Marixia; one brother, Jim (Stella) Brittnacher; three sisters, Evelyn Baus, Margaret Morris, and Annabelle Weber; other family members, Helen Brittnacher, Tom Klugiewicz, Teresa Brittnacher, Lenore (Elton) Rosin, and Felix Ostrenga; and numerous nieces and nephews.

      Ray was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bernice; son, Gary; two brothers, Earl "Butch" and Cliff; a sister, Dorothy Klugiewicz; other family, Dorothy and John Hansen, Lucille Ostrenga, Bob Morris, Art Weber, and Hugh Baus.

      Family and friends may call Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2007, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at DeWane-Cotter Funeral Home, 711 Main St., Wrightstown, where there will be a Parish Prayer Service at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Catholic Church in Wrightstown, with Msgr.
