    • Joan M. Bellin, Little Chute, age 82, died Monday, August 10, 2015 at Cherry Meadows with her family at her side. She was born in the Town of Vandenbroek on July 2, 1933 to the late John and Nettie (Van Ryte) Vande Burgt. Joan married Louis Bellin on August 3, 1955 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Little Chute. Joan worked at Rich's Bakery until her retirement. She enjoyed sewing, playing cards and visiting the casino.

      Above all, Joan was a loving wife and mother. Her greatest joy was her family and spending time with them. Joan was an excellent cook and loved to host family dinners.

      Joan is survived by her husband of 60 years, Louis; children: Sandy Smith, Little Chute; Todd (Debbie), Wilmington, NC; Sheri (Dan) Huolihan, Little Chute; and Cindy (fiance Benji Biesterveld) Merson, Little Chute; grandchildren: Ben, Mark (Michelle) and Beka Smith, Scott (Amber) and Sara Bellin, Jesse (Luke) Lesselyoung, Mike (Hilarie) Huolihan, Whitney (Kurt) Van Den Heuvel, Megan and Hayley Merson; great grandchildren: Ava, Chloe, Gwen, Ariel and Gracie; sibings: Rose Seegers, Gerald (Rosie) Vande Burgt, Clayton Vande Burgt, Gloria (Merle) Verhagen, Duane (Shirley) Vande Burgt; and sister-in-law: Vera Krueger. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

      In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her daughter Jodi; brother Virgil (Beth) Vande Burgt; 2 infant siblings; brothers-in-law Clarence Seegers and Wilmer Krueger; and sister-in-law Agnes Vande Burgt.

      Visitation will be held Wednesday August 12, 2015 at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 Pine St. Little Chute) beginning at 3:00 p.m. until time of Mass at 5:00 p.m. The Rev. Ronald Belitz will officiate. Committal St. John Cemetery. To sign the guest book, please visit oconnellfh.com.
