      Revoir, John D. "Jack"


      John "Jack" D. Revoir, 76, Ripon, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, at King Veterans Home in King, Wis. Jack was born on March 4, 1933, in Little Chute, Wis., the son of Elmer and Amelia (Van Eyck) Revoir. He graduated from St. John's in Little Chute. Jack served four years in the Navy during the Korean War. He was a third class gunner's mate and his duty stations were two mine sweepers, the USS Waxwing and USS Ruddy.

      On Nov. 24, 1955, Jack married Marie Finnerty in Baltimore, Md. He owned a distributorship with Morning Glory Dairy for 26 years. Jack served as commander for the Kimberly American Legion. He also served two years as chairman for Outagamie County Youth Government Day, he was co-president of the Kimberly PTO, and served as committee chairman for the Kimberly Cub Scouts. Jack was also a member of the VFW and St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church.

      Survivors include four daughters, Mary Ellen (Edmund) Schuh, Ripon, Wis.; Michelle (Michael) Flaherty, Little Chute, Wis.; Melissa Reiger, Oshkosh, Wis.; and Tracey (Scott) Webber, Fort Mill, S.C.; two sons, Michael (Diane) Revoir, Kimberly, Wis.; and Timothy Revoir, Appleton, Wis.; ten grandchildren, Michael, Meghan, Matthew Schuh, Amanda, April and Alana Revoir, Abigail (Nathan) Dahm, Julia and Sarah Flaherty and Rebecca Reiger; and one sister, Mary Ann (William) Welch, Appleton, Wis.

      Jack was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved stepfather, Milton Revoir; and two brothers, Kenneth and Ronald.

      Visitation for Jack Revoir will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, from 9 to 11 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Ripon, 218 Blossom St., Ripon, WI, 54971. Mass of Christian Burial for Jack Revoir will be held at 11 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Ripon. Father William Whalen will officiate with full Military Honors to follow. Entombment will follow at Highland Memorial Park, 3131 N. Richmond St., Appleton, Wis.
