- Laurent, Ella L. Ella L. Laurent, 97, Green Bay, died peacefully at a local nursing home on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2005. Born on Sept. 15, 1908, in the town of Preble, she is the daughter of the late Henry and Caroline (Van Eyck) Lathauer. On Nov. 9, 1926, she married Ben Laurent at Holy Martyrs Church, and he preceded her in death Nov. 11, 1980. Ella was employed by Delwiche Farms for 10 years. She farmed in the town of Humboldt with her husband, Ben, for many years before returning to Green Bay in 1970. Ella enjoyed playing cards, cooking, and spending time with friends and family. Ella is survived by one daughter, Marie (Hilbert) Mandel, Two Rivers; 10 grandchildren, Ron Laurent, Dennis (Judy) Laurent, Linda (Steve) Fabry, Tom (Mary) Laurent, Debbie (Randy) Evenstad, Larry (Linda) Puyleart, Jerry Puyleart, Ken (Carol) Puyleart, Donna Puyleart, and Randy (Jane) Puyleart; 26 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, friends and extended relatives; special friend, Mary Boucher. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Ben; one son, Edward Laurent; one daughter, Mildred Laurent; one brother; five sisters; one grandson; one granddaughter; one great-grandson. Visitation at MALCORE Funeral Home, University Avenue at Baird Street, Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Rosary at 6:45 p.m. Friday led by Sr. Loretta Beyer, followed by a 7 p.m. wake service, all at the funeral home. Visitation will continue Saturday at Ss. Peter & Paul Church, 710 N. Baird St., from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Funeral 10 a.m. Saturday at Ss. Peter & Paul Church with Msgr. Roy Klister officiating. Burial at Holy Martyrs Cemetery.
