    • Rosella M. Vander Heiden, 97, Kaukauna, died peacefully on Friday, Feb. 4, 2011, at American Grand Assisted Living with her family by her side. She was born May 18, 1913, in the Town of Holland, Wis., the daughter of the late Henry B. and Josephine (Haen) Micke. On June 1, 1937, Rosella married Clayton G. Vander Heiden at St. Francis Catholic Church in Hollandtown. The couple farmed in the Freedom area retiring in 1965 and moving to Kaukauna. Clayton preceded her in death on June 5, 1987, after 50 years of marriage. Rosella loved and enjoyed her family very much; she especially enjoyed cooking and baking for them. She also enjoyed playing cards and gardening. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. Rosella also volunteered at the Kaukauna Community Hospital for many years.

      She is survived by her children, Beaty (Mel) Baeten and their children, Ken (Shelly), Karen (Gregg) Daanen, Dale (Donna), Gary (Cari), and Todd Baeten; Gene (Joan) Vander Heiden and their children, David (Sheila), Dan (Dawn), Duane (Laurie), and Dean (Linda); Merl (Delores) Vander Heiden and their children, Steve (Sheryl), Randy (fiancee Becky), and Vicki (Jim) Jirschele; Jerry (Kitty) Vander Heiden and their children, Scott (Jean), Christine (Andrew) Utrie, and Michelle (Bob) Holloway; Carol (Greg) Verstegen and their children Ben (Wendy), Joe (Joyce), Jamie Verstegen, and Jenny (Brad) Landrath; Lois (Gary) Mignon and their children, Jill Amond, Lisa (Mike) Brockmnan, and Brian (Angela); 48 great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister-in-law, Leo Micke and special friend Cordell, Freedom; and Julia Micke, Hollandtown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
      She was preceded in death by a grandson, Joseph Baeten; six brothers and four sisters-in-law, Tony (Ceil), Norbert and Gilbert Micke, Raymond (Rose), Edward, and Francis (Gladys), and Josephine Micke; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Veronica (Ray) Jacobs, Helen and Anna Micke.
      The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011, at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer St., Kaukauna with Fr. David Beaudry officiating. Friends will be received directly at church on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established. Burial will take place in the Parish Cemetery. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna is assisting the family. 766-2099.
