      Age 55, passed away unexpectedly around 1 p.m. Tuesday. He was born February 12, 1906 in Freedom. He was owner and operator of the Knotty Pine Tavern and assessor of the Town of Vandenbroek. Mr. Kieffer is survived by his wife; his mother, Mrs. Ida Kieffer, Neenah; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Judy) Reffke, Appleton, Katherine Jansen and Sue Ann Kieffer, at home; two sons, Jack Jansen, at home; Tom Jansen, Little Chute; six brothers, Frank, Appleton; Raymond, New York; Donald, Neenah; John, Providence, Rhode Island; Edward, Kaukauna; Nicholas, Marion; four sisters, Mrs. William West and Mrs. Ervin Mueller, both of Milwaukee; Mrs. Edward Gries, Neenah; Mrs. Joseph Van Shyndel, Wrightstown; 1 grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Catholic church, Little Chute. Burial in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Verkuilen Funeral Home, Little Chute, after 3 p.m. Wednesday. Rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
