Monkosky- Locy, Florence "Mae" Florence "Mae" A. (Gartzke) Mankosky-Locy completed her life here on earth on June 26, 2006, at the age of 90. She was born on December 30, 1915. Mae married James Mankosky in September 19th, 1936, and James preceded her in death on April 13th, 1966. The couple was blessed with a daughter, Toni Hawley. Flossy was employed by Knauf-Tesch in the office and at Pechman's Studio as a receptionist until she retired. She was also married to Donald Locy from 1970 until the time of his death in February of 1988.
Floss is survived by her only daughter, Antoinette "Toni" (Jerome) Hawley of Plymouth, Wisconsin; five grandchildren: Carrie (Steve) Freund of Sheboygan; Colleen Nigh of Sheboygan Falls; Kelly (David) Meyer of Plymouth; Craig (Lisa) Hawley of Little Chute; and Michael (Stephanie) Hawley of Mequon; 11 great-grandchildren: Tara Freund of Akron, Ohio; Jeremy (Martha) Freund of Sheboygan; Joshua Freund of Sheboygan; Lt. Nicole (Dan VonBenKen) Wagner of North Carolina; CPL. Brett Wagner of North Carolina; Megan Meyer of Plymouth; Adam Nigh of Plymouth; Kristin Nigh of Sheboygan; Kali Miller of Little Chute; Chase Hawley of Little Chute; and Jack Hawley of Mequon. Mae was also blessed by two great-great-grandchildren, Joseph Freund of Sheboygan and Owen Ellinger of Sheboygan. Florence is further survived by two siblings, Ella (Joe) Reynebau of Little Chute and Bob (Lynn) Gartzke.
She was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters: Minnie Smith, Anita Reickert, Bernice Elmer, Al Gartzke, Ed Gartzke, Sam Gartzke, and an infant.
The funeral liturgy for Mae will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 1, 2006, at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna, with Fr. Jack Mullarkey officiating. Inurnment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until the hour of the services.
