Conrad, Eva M. Eva M. Conrad, age 85, Freedom, beloved mother, grams and more grams passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2005, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born June 8, 1920, in Little Chute, the daughter of the late Theodore and Hattie (Hieptas) Lamers. On October 30, 1943, she married Norbert Conrad in Park Ridge, New Jersey. Eva worked all her life at home caring for her family. She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Christian Mother Society, and the VFW Freedom Post 7692 Auxiliary. Eva will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Eva is survived by three children and their spouses: Sharon (Clarence) VanHandel of Freedom; Kathy (Mel) Brockman of Freedom; and Jerry (Sandy) Conrad of Appleton; daughter-in-law, Linda (Dan) Vosters of Freedom; 11 grandchildren: Missy (Kevin) VerVoort, Patty (Bruce) Opperman, Tammy (Scott) Corrigan, Randy, Jeffrey, Larry (Kelly) VanHandel, Beth Ann (Roger) Edelburg, Sarah (Mark) McGrath, Jenny (Ryan) McSorley, Tony (Lillie) Conrad and David (Jessie) Conrad. 19 great-grandchildren that loved more grams: Ashley, Halie, and Amber VerVoort, Matthew, Mason, Madalyn, and Marshal Opperman, Emily and Jared Corrigan, Tammi Peters, Jasmine VanHandel, Jake, Josh and Chloe VanHandel, Andrew and Samantha Edelburg, Mitchell McGrath, Dustin and Savannah McSorley. Sisters-in-law: Celeste Lamers of Shawano; Marion Lamers of Appleton; and Irene Lamers of Appleton; stepsister, Mary (Bill) Liskow, step-sisters-in-law: Zeta Mullen and Delores Mullen. Sisters-in-laws: Harriet Conrad of Freedom, Blanche Vandenberg of Freedom; and Marion Conrad of Appleton; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Norbert and son, Wayne Conrad and great-grandson, Jeffrey VanHandel, Jr. Five brothers: Robert, Richard, Ivo, LeRoy, and Cliff Lamers. Stepmother Anna (Mullen) Lamers, stepbrothers: Emory and Francis Mullen and stepsister, Ruth Plamann. Six brothers-in-law: Walter, John, Joseph, Earl, Bill Conrad and Quentin Vandenberg; sisters-in-law: Ann Hietpas, Marion Jansen, Rosella VandenBoom and Agnes Bergman. The funeral liturgy for Eva will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, November 10, 2005, at ST. NICHOLAS CATHOLIC CHURCH, Freedom, with Father John Schuetze officiating. Burial will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 1 p.m. until time of the mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established. The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to Dr. Robert Geller, Jenny Greiner and the oncology staff and Dr. Ayanrino at St. Elizabeth's Hospital.
