      Schmit, Robert "Robbie" Robert Schmit, "Robbie," Kaukauna, age 57, died peacefully Saturday, October 6, 2007, at home with his family by his side. He was born June 20, 1950, in Appleton son of the late Robert and Georgia (Dane) Schmit. On August 3, 1979, Robbie married the former Mary "Jan" Voet. The couple resided in Kaukauna their entire married lives where Robbie worked for Valley Drywall. He thoroughly enjoyed his job at Valley Drywall working with his buddies Jardie and Dewey. His interests included: goose hunting, eBaying, gardening, watching the stock market, cooking, remodeling his house (finishing his last project of "pretty" bathroom), and spending time with his many friends at Bobs.

      He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Jan, Kaukauna; his son Aaron Schmit, his daughter, Abbi (friend Kevin Fassbender) Schmit, sidekick Maggie, and brother, Tom (Mary Kae) Schmit, Kimberly. He is further survived by Jan's family, Gale (Alice) Voet, Ray "Pork" Voet, Cher (Ken) McDaniel, Ev (Mark Schnieder), Wayne (Lisa) Voet, Randy Voet, Mark "Bass" (friend Fiona Marsicek) Voet, Scott (Michele) Voet, Chris (friend Diane Bloy) Voet, Gene Kirley, and Linda Hurst (friend Roy Hartjes), also numerous friends including Kurt, Holly, and Foster.

      He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Dick, mother and father-in-law, Howard and Ivyle Voet, sister-in-law, Dawn "Sis" Kirley, and his pal Patches.

      A Memorial Service for Robbie will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2007, at BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna, with Rev. Tim Albrecht officiating. Family and Friends may call from 4 p.m. until the time of service. In Lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.

      Robbie's family would like to express their sinceregratitude to many family and friends who showed great care and concern, it made the journey a lot easier. We would also like to extend a special thank you to Wayne and Lisa for their overwhelming support.
