He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Cresentia Klien Van Der Wielen; brothers, Mike Vander Wielen, Joe Vander Wielen, Jim Vander Wielen and Ed Vander Wielen; sister, Adele Sorce. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Rose Marie Vander Wielen; sons, Ray Vander Wielen (Audrey) and Lee Vander Wielen (RenĂ©); daughters, Karen Satterfield (Steve) and Linda Burns (Billy); sister, Ramona Schelzel; grandchildren, John Vander Wielen, Jake Vander Wielen, Brad Vander Wielen, Tara Ragland, Jessica Bates, Kelly Willoughby and Kyle Burns; 10 great grandchildren.

      Memorial Mass will be 5:00 p.m. Friday, November 15th at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Hendersonville, TN with Father Eric Fowlkes as celebrant. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. until time of mass at the church.
