      Age 91, died on Saturday, July 7, 2001, at his home. George was born on October 16, 1909 in Askeaton, Wisconsin, son of the late James and Anna (Miller) Wall. He married Catherine Murphy on January 2, 1939, and they enjoyed 50 years of marriage, until she preceded him in death in 1989. George began employment at Kimberly Clark as a laborer in 1939, and retired in 1969, as a member of the Quarter Century Club. He was a longtime member of Holy Name, joining the church in 1939. He was an avid bingo player, and would enjoy the game whenever he was able. George will be greatly missed by his sons, Donald (Josephine) Wall, Little Chute; George Wall, Menasha; his daughter, Suzanne Lessner, Northbrook, Illinois; his 5 grandchildren, Cheryl (James) White; Eugene (Barbara) Wall; Catherine, Brian and Colleen Wall; his 3 great-grandchildren, Adam, Tiffany and Matthew White; and his sister-in-law, Joyce Wall Mortson. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews. George was preceded in death by his brothers and their spouses, Edward (Mary); James (Irene); Richard (Mary); Francis (Sophia); John Wall; his sisters and their spouses, Lillian (Peter) Hart; Sister Eulogia; Marie Wall; Edith (Walter) Gerend; and his son-in-law, John Lessner. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Tuesday, July 10, 2001, at HOLY NAME CATHOLIC CHURCH, 600 East Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly, with Fr. Norm Krutzik officiating. Interment will be held at Holy Name of Jesus Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday, July 9 from 4 until 8:30 p.m., and again at the funeral home on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. A Vigil Service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, July 9 at 7:30 p.m.. The family would like to thank the staff at Theda Care Home Hospice, The Holy Name Befrienders, and numerous relatives and neighbors for their care and support.
