- Michael John Lingnofski, age 61 of the Town of Neenah, passed away peacefully with dignity at Theda Clark Medical Center on Thursday, January 24, 2013 from complications from a fall on some ice.
Mike was born March 9, 1951 at Theda Clark, the son of Jerome and Lorain (Mottl) Lingnofski. He was a graduate of Menasha High School, class of 1969. He was employed at Intertape Polymer Group for 43+ years. Mike married Fran Mankiewicz on April 1, 1978. What a celebration it was! Mike loved her dearly and depended on her for most everything. He enjoyed life, was a free spirit, and could make friends with anyone from professionals to the sick or lonely. If he wasn't fishing, he was hunting. If he wasn't doing something outside, he was parked in front of the TV watching the Packers, the Brewers, or the Bucks, or at least had them on the radio. He was a member of St. Gabriel Parish; the Knights of Columbus, Menasha Council; and Payne's Point Hook and Spear Club.
Mike is survived by his wife, Fran; his mother, Lorain; his brothers: Tom (Bonnie) and Dan (Sue) Lingnofski; his sister-in-law, Mary (Bill) Berger; brothers-in-law: John (Diane) and Mark (Jenny) Mankiewicz; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerome; an infant brother, Joseph; his maternal and paternal grandparents; and an uncle, Virgil (LaVerne) Lingnofski.
A Memorial Mass for Mike will be held at 4:30 P.M. Monday, January 28, 2013 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 900 Geiger St., Neenah, Fr. Larry Seidl officiating. Visitors may call at church from 2:00 P.M. until the hour of service.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Mike's name.
Mike was fun-loving, constantly happy spirit who will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
