Ervin M. Haessly 1150 Washington, St. Little Chute
Born January 11, 1911 and died October 9, 1997 at Parkside Care Center in Little Chute, Wisconsin. He was born in Kaukauna to Wenzel H. and Ida [Wolf] Haessey. He married Della Hietpas on June 27, 1945 st Elcho, Wisconsin by Fr. Edward Haessely at Holy Family Church. He was employed by Thilmany Mill and was a Quarter Century member, retiring in 1973 after 39 years. He was a pigeon flyer in the Fox Valley for many years, he was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and love gardening. He bowled with the retirees for a number of years.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Della. He is further survived by a sister, Lorraine Haessely, Kaukuana; a brother in-law; Joseph Hietpas of Little Chute; three sisters in-law; Grace, and Evelyn Haessley all of Kaukauna; and Clara Vanden Heuvel, Kimberly; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sisters and brother in-law; Mildred and Walter Rodowski, four brothers and sisters in-law; Herbert and Marie [Rieth] Haessly, Leo, Rev. Edward Haessly and Bernard Haessly. He was also preceded by three brother in-laws and two sisters in-law; Albert Hietpas, Frank and Angie Hieptas, Sylvester and Rosella Hietpas; and four sisters in-law and brothers in-law; Ann and Ted Vanden Heuvel, Sophia and Ted Huiting, Susan and Henry Kamps, and Genevieve and Barney Lamers.
The Mass Resurrection will be held on Monday, October 13, 1997 at 10 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church in Little Chute, with Rev. Msgr. James Vanden Hogen officiating. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 9a.m. until the time of service. The Verkuilen Funeral Home is assisting the family.
