Kerkhof, Frances Frances Kerkhof passed away peacefully on Friday, May 5, 2006, at the age of 90. She was born January 26, 1916, in Kimberly to the late Marinus and Dora (Natrop) Van Beek.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, William Kerkhof; sons: Anthony, John and Peter; sisters, Maryann Gorman and Pauline Pleier; brothers: Ben, John, Marty and Peter Van Beek.
She was a loving mother to Dorothy (Ted) Spierings, Sharon (Tony) Kerkhof, Rene (Sigi) Kerkhof, Ida Kerkhof (Bill Lehl), Bill (Sharon) Kerkhof, Nancy (Rik) Mannie, Diane (Mike) Trunkey, all of Santa Rosa, California; Ben (Diane) Kerkhof, Black Forest, Colorado; Ginny (Bill) Poncia, Sebastopol, California and loving sister to Richard (Gloria) Van Beek, Marietta, Georgia. Frances was an adored grandmother of 20 and great-grandmother of 27. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She enjoyed gardening, traveling and, most of all, being with her family. She will be lovingly missed by all who knew her.
Family and friends will gather at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Kimberly, from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 1. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church with the Rev. David Pleier, her nephew officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Frances's name to VNA Hospice, 1110 N. Dutton Ave., Santa Rosa, CA 95401.
