    • Patricia A. Black, 63, Green Bay, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2017 following a courageous battle with heart and lung complications. She was born to Alois and Leota (Brunette) Heim, on January 15, 1954.

Patty attended St. Jude Elementary School and St. Joseph Academy in Green Bay. Her greatest accomplishments were the years she spent guiding children through their faith and teaching them the basics of computer skills; and also teaching them to appreciate reading through her time spent as a librarian at Annunciation School. Mrs. Black is fondly remembered and cherished by hundreds of students who passed through the doors of Annunciation School. Patty enjoyed her Monday night Tops Group where she formed many lasting friendships. She was a member of St. Jude, Annunciation, and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parishes.

Family and friends were Patty's passion. She and her late husband, Wesley Black were the proud parents of one daughter, Christina Marie (Nathan) Heezen; a granddaughter, Monroe Sophia Heezen; and a step-grandson, Chase Andrew Heezen. Following Wesley's untimely death, Patty and Christina became devoted mother and daughter soul mates.

Patty grew up spending summers and vacations with her parents, three brothers and a sister at their summer home in Dunbar, WI on Youngs Lake. After she married Wesley, they built a cabin on Youngs Lake and spent many years enjoying time as a family with her siblings and parents. Patty enjoyed playing cards and in her later years, while recouping from health issues, putting together large puzzles. She loved to host and entertain and frequently hosted wonderful holiday celebrations in her home.

In addition to her loving daughter and family, Patty is survived by her parents, Al and Lee; brothers, Robert Heim, Thomas (Sallie) Heim, James (Mary) Heim; and sister, Debra (Melvin) Kroll. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews along with their families; many loving relatives, and dear friends, Sandy Milward and Julie Vanlannen.

Patty was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley; her grandparents; and a very special aunt.

Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, with a Parish Wake Service being held at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, 2771 Oakwood Dr., from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Rev. Paul Demuth and Sr. Marla Clercx A.N.G. officiating. Burial will be in Fort Howard Memorial Park. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Patty's name.

The family wishes to thank all of those who loved and cared for Patty during her life. She was a strong, positive, loving person. Patty always had time for a new and old friend. Her strong devotion to her faith provided comfort for her to journey through the many health complications she faced.
