    • Sheriff's departments and traffic police of three counties today were searching for a hit-and-run driver whose car fatally injured Michael Kortenhof, 81, Route 4, Appleton, about 7:30 Saturday evening on County Trunk KK in Darboy.
      The aged man, who was returning to his home after attending a church service, died at 6:10 sunday morning of injuries he suffered when he was struck.
      Sheriff Lyman B. Clark and Captain William Glasheen, head of the county traffic department, said today that they have a number of clues, supplied by witnesses, which may lead to the indification of the death car driver.
      Elmer R Honkamp, district attorney said an inquest would be held. A corner's jury, composed of Alvin and A.W. Fulcer, C.J. Fieweger, Martin Kyzrs, John Barnardy and John R. Gerritts viewed the body.
      Police officials of Calumet and Winnebago counties are aiding in the search for the car, Sheriff Clark said. He asked persons who noticed a damaged automobile to report it to the sheriff's department.
      A retired farmer, Kortenhof celebrated his golden wedding anniversary about six years ago. He was born Aubust 18, 1864. He was a member of the Holy Name Society and president of the St. Joseph Society of Holy Angels Church, Darboy.
