      Floyd R. Kessler 1707 Driscoll St.

      Age 68, passed away at 4 p.m. Tuesday at his home on Lake Winneconne. He was born September 2, 1896 in Duluth, Minnesota, and had been a resident of Appleton most of his life. He was employed at Consolidated Papers Inc., all of his adult life prior to his retirement two years ago. He was a member of the First Congregational Church; a veteran of World War I, having served with the Rainbow Division in France and a member of the American Legion.

      Mr Kessler is survived by his wife, Christena; one daughter, Mrs. Edward [Joyce] Schleis, Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin; one sister, Mrs. Harold W. Miller, Appleton; four grandchildren.

      One son, Robert, preceded his father in death in World War II.

      Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday from the Brettschneider-Trettin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Thursday. Military services will be held at the graveside. A memorial has been established for the First Congregational Church.
