Barney G. Lamers 1005 Washington St., Little Chute
Age 81, died Wednesday morning at Parkside Care Center. He was born December 10, 1899, in the Town of Vandenbroek, and was a lifelong resident of Little Chute. Mr. Lamers was employed at Fox River Paper Company for many years and, prior to his retirement in 1971, he had been employed at Miller Electric Company. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Genevieve Hietpas Lamers; three daughters and sons in-law; Jeanne and Floyd Kiliste, Wrightstown; Lavern and Ron Miller, Kaukauna; Mary and Nick Kraft, Appleton; 13 grandchildren' Todd, Jeff, Paula and Mark Klister; Kim, Randy, Gary, Sara, Karla, Mary and Sally Miller' Jim and Kathy Kraft; three brothers; Henry and Martin, both of Appleton; John, Menasha; two sisters; Ella Hietpas, Little Chute; Susan Van Lieshout, Appleton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Sara Lamers; three brothers; Theodore, Peter and Jake; a sister; Min Brockman.
The concelebrated mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John Catholic Church, with the Rev. Msgr. James Vanden Hogen and the Rev. Msgr. Roy Klister officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Verkuilen Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday and on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
