Mrs. Anna Schommer Murphy [Anna Van Asten

Formerly of Freedom, age 94, died Wednesday evening at St. Paul Nursing Home, Kaukauna, after a brief illness. She was born Octobe 25, 1889 in Green Bay. She married George T. Schommer in 1916. She operated Schommers Tavern in Freedom until 1944. She married Patrick Murphy in 1944, residing in Freedom until 1973. She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom, was active in parish affairs, and served as secretary of the Christian Mother's Society, in which she was a member, a member of St. Therese Society and Third Order of St. Francis.

Survivors include three daughters and sons in-law, Sister George Ann Schommer, Escanaba, Michigan; Lorraine and Lloyd Hagen, Neenah; Georgiana and Leo Casey, Appleton; two step daughters, Mrs. Bob [LaVern] Guerts, Freedom; and Mrs. Merle [Rosemary] Romenesko, Walworth, Wisconsin; two sons and two daughters in-law, Florian and Lorrain Schommer, Shawano; Russell and Betty Schommer, Detroit, Michigan; and two step sons, John Murphy, Black Creek; and Ralph Murphy, Freedom; 21 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, George T. Schommer 1936, and her second husband, Patrick Murphy in 1969, three brothers and two sisters.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom with the Rev. Leander Nickel and Deacon Don Newhouse officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Fargo Funeral home from 4 to 9 p.m. friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday until the time the cortege leaves for the church. There will be a prayer service at 8 p.m. Friday.

Mrs. Martin De Groot (Anna De Groot) St. Pauls Home, Kaukauna, age 81, passed away at 9 p.m. Tuesday. Whe was born September 10, 1891 in the Town of Vanden Broeck. She was a member of the Christian Mothers of St. John's Catholic Church of which she was a fifty year member.

Survivors are her husband, Martin, two daughters, Mrs. Gordon (Agnes) Vande Hey, Route 2, Kaukauna; Mrs. Lambert (Theresa) Spierings, Little Chute; seven sons, Sylvester, Rt. 5, Appleton; Andrew, Appleton; Norbert, Rt. 5, Appleton; Gilbert, Rt. 2, Kaukauna; Arthur, Rt. 5, Appleton; Ernest, Kimberly; Simon and Theodore, all of Little Chute; two sisters, Christine Verhagen, Little Chute; Marie De Groot, California; 76 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.

A daughter, Mrs. Norbert (Elizabeth) Becker, a son, Wilfred, two brothers, Peter and John; and a sister, Kate Weyenberg, all preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday from St. John's Catholic Church with Rev. Norbert Vande Loo officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Verkuilen Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Thursday. There will be a Christian Mothers Rosary at 6:30 p.m. and the prayer sevice at 8 p.m.

Richard is survived by his parents, four sisters, Sharon, Gale, Linda and Lori; two brothers, Gary and Terry John; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Carrie Pakanich, Green Bay; and paternal grandmother, Mrs. Ida Van Laanen, Suamico.

August V. Pensis, 74, 1331 Bellevue St., 380 Huget, died unexpectedly Thursday at home. He was born May 24, 1906 in Green Bay, and had been a life long Green Bay resident. He married the former Mable Van Laanen, who preceded him in death October 11, 1977. Mr. Pensis was employed by the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier and retired in 1961. He was a member of the N.A.L.C.

Survivors are one daughter and son in-law, Mr. and Mrs. J. James [Mary Ellen] Leibergen; two grandaughters, Kay, and Laura, all of Green Bay; nieces and nephews.

One brother and one sister preceded him in death. Friends may call at the Schauer and Schumacher East Side Funeral Home after 2 p.m. today. Parish wake service 7 this evening. Mathias Sprangers, 68, 800 9th St., died Wednesday at his home after a lingering illness. Mr. Sprangers, who was born in the Town Harrison, married the former Mary Rosella Wallace in 1920. The couple farmed at Darboy for 20 years, and moved to Isaar where operated a General Merchandise Store and Tavern until 1956. After their retirement, they took up residence in Algoma until three years ago when they came to Green Bay. Mr. Sprangers served with the Armed Forces during World War I. He was a member of St. John Court 1782, C.O.F. of Seymour, and American Legion Leo Van Roy Post 265 of Darboy.

Survivors his wife, eight sons, Raymond and Joseph, Appleton; Myron, Florian, Hilary and Gerald, Green Bay; Thomas, at home; Patrick, Seymour, stationed at Fort Dix, New Jersey; three daughter, Mrs. Raymond [Margaret] Foley, Mrs. Elmer [Dorothy] Schmit, Mrs. Stanley [Agnes] Socha, all of Green Bay; 24 grandchildren; six brothers, John, Appleton; Joseph, Sherwood; Anthony, George and Andrew, Darboy; Edward, Little Chute; and one sister, Mrs. Joseph Uitenbroek, Darboy.

Three sons preceded him in death. Friends may call after 6:30 tonight at Malcore Funeral Home where the rosary will be recited tonight at 7 o'clock by C.O.F. and at 8 p.m. Then Friday at 8 p.m. by the Rev. Joseph Diny. A Solemn High Mass will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Church with Fr. Diny as celebrant. The Rev. Alan Jirikovec, Deacon, and the Rev. Robert Reinkober, Sub Deacon. Alvin P. Weyenberg 'Butch' 818 W. Grant St. Appleton, age 72 died suddendly at 5:42 PM Thursday August 11, 1988, at his home. He was born September 11, 1915 in Freedon, to the late Josephine and Peter Weyenberg. He married Ruth J. Thompsen on July 12, 1958. He was employed by Murphys Concrete Products for 25 years before retiring in 1980. He served his country as a Sergeant during WWII and was a member of the VFW Post 2778, Appleton, The American Legion Post 258, Little Chute and was also a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Thompsen Weyenberg; two daughters and two sons in-law; Cheryl and Patrick Welch, Antioch, Calif.; Jacqueline and Craig Messner, Clintonville; two sons and two daughters in-laws; Dennis and Jane Weyenberg, Appleton; Rick and Laurel Weyenberg, Appleton; four brothers; Milton, Myron, Gordon and Donald Weyenberg, all of Green Bay; five sisters; Lucille Sobieck, Seymour; Dellia Welch, Kaukauna; Lorraine Carney, Appleton; Virginia Williquette, Green Bay; Mary Botdorf, Fond du Lac; five grandchildren; Jennifer Flynn, Peter, Teresa, Ramsey Weyenberg; and Ryan Messner.

Nobby worked for Badger Northland for 19 years and later was self employed at a T V Repairman. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Age 74, died at 3:14 p.m. Saturday after a brief illness. She was born September 4, 1908 in Appleton and had been a lifelong resident of Appleton. Mrs. Wildenberg was formerly employed for many years in the office of the Kimberly Clark Corp., Kimberly. She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church, the Christian Ladies Society, and was a former member of the Appleton Women's Club.

She was the beloved wife of Raymond [Ray] Wildenberg; the beloved mother of Mrs. Dale H. [Lois] Schumaker, Appleton; a sister, Roslyn Schultz, Appleton; three grandchildren, Howard D., Brian R., and Stacey M. Schumaker, all of Appleton.

The complete funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Therese Catholic Church with the Rev. David Koch officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Funeral service will be 10 o'clock Monday morning at St. John Catholic Church, Little Chute, with burial in the parish cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock tonight and at 7:30 and 8 o'clock Sunday night at the Wichmann Funeral Home, where friends may call after 7 o'clock this evening.

Frank J. Bloomer Appleton

Age 79, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2000 at St. Elizabeth Hospital following an extended illness. Frank was born October 6, 1920 in Milwaukee, the son of late John and Mary [Coffey] Bloomer. He has resided in Appleton since 1949. Frank was united in marriage to Delores M. Tooner on September 18, 1948 in Appleton, sharing 51 years together. He was formerly employed by the George Banta Company, retiring in 1982, and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Frank will be remember as an avid Packer fan and enjoying those special times with his family at his cottage near Antigo.

Survivors include his wife Delores; eight daughters, Mary Rose Bloomer, Ann [Jim] Krueger, Susan Bloomer, and Barbara Lu Maye, all of Appleton; Margaret [Nick] Springer of Amherst Junction; Beth [Dan] Jandourek of Green Bay; Louise [David] Grant of New Jersey; and Katie [Duaine] Hass of Illinois; five sons, Joseph Bloomer of Nevada; Mike [Mary] Bloomer of Appleton; Frank [Kathy] Bloomer of La Crosse; Leo and Marty Bloomer, both of Appleton; 30 grandchildren and one great grandchild. A brother in-law, Paul [Frankie] Toonen of Appleton.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by two brothers, Andrew and Edward Bloomer, a sister, Irene Bloomer, and a granddaughter, Brianna Lu Maye.

The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2000 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 222 E. Fremont St. with Father Robert Karuhn officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church from 9 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service.

Vander Velden Funeral
Services for Henry Vander Velden, 59, of Little Chute, will be held at 9 o'clock Tuesday at St. John Cemetery in Little Chute. Vander Velden's body was taken from the Fox River at the Kimberly Mill shortly afternoon Friday. Prayer services will be held at 8 o'clock Sunday and Monday nights at the Verkuilen Funeral Home in Little Chute.

Vander Velden was born December 18, 1890 in Little Chute. He retired from the Thilmany Pulp and Paper Company in 1940. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Pulp and Papermakers.

Survivors are five brothers, John, Frank and Martin of Kimberly, Chris, Little Chute, Anton, Green Bay; and two sisters, Mrs. Peter Biersteker and Mrs. Arnold Van Hammond of Little Chute.

(Disappeared on March 20 and was found in river on April 7). Refused burial at St. John.

Gerald C. Verstegen
Neenah

Passed away peaceful Tuesday afternoon, February 10, 1998 surrounded by family and friends. He was 86 years, and led a wonderful and blessed life. He was born August 4, 1911 in Little Chute, Wi., to Joseph and Anna Verstegen, he was the sixth of thirteen children. He was educated at St. John's School in Little Chute, St. Norbert High School in De Pere, and Lawrence College in Appleton. He moved Neenah with his new bride, Margaret A. Lamers after their marriage on August 10, 1940. They lived in Neenah since that time. They had four children. Gerald was a long time member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church and a devotee of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. He was also a long time member of Ridgeway Country Club, the Elks Club, the Neenah Club, and was active in community service. An avid sportsman, he exceled in golf, baseball, football, racket sports and bowling. He played quarter back for the Little Chutes Flying Dutchmans High School and played short stop for the Little Chute City Baseball Team for 10 years there after. In golf, he made four hole's in one's and accumulated many trophies. Gerald was employed by the Kimberly Clark Corp. at Corporate Headquarters in Neenah for 41 years, in the Planning and Purchasing Dept. In addition he found Verstegen's Realty, selling much of the land in what is now southeast Neenah. He was a member of the Fox Valley Board of Realtors.

A loving and caring man, Gerald is survived by his wife of 58 years, Margaret; his three daughters, Marilyn Kiefer, Northville, Michigan; Deborah Verstegen, Charlottesville, Virginia; and Susan Verstegen Nolop, New York City; four grandchildren, Kathryn Kiefer and Karrie Kiefer Ahern; Michael and Nathan Nolop; three great grandchildren, Matthew Barnes and Emily and Zachary Ahern; six brothers and sisters, Bob and Ernie Verstegen, Bernice Vander Velden, Irene and Ida Peeters, and Joanne Hawley.

His only son, Michael, preceded him on June 4, 1962. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 13, 1998 at St. Margaret Catholic Church. Interment will be in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenh. Friends may call at the Kessler Funeral Home, from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m.

Age 82, died Monday, October 7, 2002, at Appleton Medical Center. He was born September 24, 1920, in Wrightstown, son of the late Anton and Sophia (Lamers) Nelessen. Clarence married Cecelia DeBruin October 23, 1941, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute, where he was a lifetime member. He was employed at Appleton Papers Locks Mill for 43 years, spending most of the time in the maintenance department, until his retirement in 1983. Clarence was an honorary member of Union Local 144. He served in the 43rd Infantry Division in the South Pacific during World War II. Clarence was a member of the Jacob Coppus American Legion, Post #258, Little Chute, where he served as Service Officer for many years. He belonged to St. John Mission Club, Volunteered at the Salvatorian Mission Warehouse and sang in the Resurrection Choir. Clarence was a firm believer in the retreat movement.

Mrs. Joseph H. Wydeven Ann Kilsdonk Franciscan Care Center

Age 92, died Wednesday, December 22, 1999 at Franciscan Care Center, Appleton. She was born on May 10, 1907 in Little Chute the daughter of Albert and Anna [Vosters] Kilsdonk. On September 12, 1933, she married Joseph Wydeven and soon after they moved to Appleton. She was a member of St. Joseph Parish, the Ladies of St. Joseph and the Third Order. She had been a member of the St. Joseph Eucharistic Mission Band for many years. She was a member of St. Mary Court # 182 of the National Catholic Society of Foresters, and had been the recording secretary for 45 years, retiring in 1984. She had been a member of the Onieda Heights Tenant Council for over ten years. She was an avid sheephead player. Other hobbies included crocheting and together crafts.

She is survived by a daughter, Sister Jodene [Dolore] Wydeven, Hilbert; two sons, Valerian D. [Ann Celine] Wydeven, MaComb, Michigan; and Joseph Jude [Alice] Wydeven, Papillion, Nebraska; five grandchildren, Rachel Wydeven, Lawrence, Kansas; Eric [Anna] Wydeven, Austin, Texas; Joseph [Kate] Wydeven, Auburn Hills, Michigan; Grace Ann Wydeven, Washington DC; Matthew Wydeven, Troy, Michigan; two step grandchildren, Beth Dodd [Gregory Smith] and Amy Reichert, Villa Park, Illinois; two step great grandchildren, William and Ross Reichert; one brother in-law, George Wydeven; a very special niece, Rosella Knight; and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including a special friend, Jean O'Brien and her two daughters, Katie and Mary Beth, who adopted the Wydevens as their grandparents.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of almost 58 years, Joseph, who died July 1991; one daughter, Joanne who died at birth in 1938; and six brothers, Martin, Francis, Henry and Wilbert, and Willie and Joseph in infancy.

A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 27, 1999 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 410 W. Lawrence St. with the Rev. John Holly OFM Cap. officiating. Interment will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Wichmann Funeral Home 537 N. Age 77, joined the Lord on Saturday evening surrounded by her family at her home. She was born April 17, 1923 in Freedom, daughter of the late Henry and Caroline [Daul] Van Asten. On August 29, 1946, she was united in marriage to Leo Micke at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom. Jo was a devoted wife and mother who loved to garden and cook for her family. Jo loved to get together with friends and family and play cards. She was a lifelong member of St. Nicholas Church, Freedom and had a deep devotion to the Rosary. Jo was a very loving and positive person with a deep love for her Catholic faith. Jo greatly enjoyed to take bus trips with Leo.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Leo; her children, Joanie Micke of Houston, Texas; Gene [Kathy] Micke of De Pere; Gary [Carol] Micke of Freedom; Lynn [Duane] Ihde of Freedom; Donald [Barbara] Micke of Kaukauna; 17 grandchildren, six great grandchildren; her brothers and their families, Martin [Josephine] Van Asten, William [Marion] Van Asten; her sisters and their families, Mary Vanderheiden, Alma [Orville] Vanevenhoven; Rosie [Joe] Vanderheiden. Mrs. John Verbeten of Wrightstown is Dead After Year's Illness
Wrightstown, Wis. - Seventy-six grandchildren, 142 great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren are among the survivors of Mrs. John Verbeten, 83, who died at 9 o'clock Thursday evening at her home in West Wrightstown after a years's illness. Born in Bay Settlement, July 29, 1862, she lived in this community for the past 55 years. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church and of the Christian Mother's Society.

The body is at the Greenwood Funeral Home, Kaukauna, where it may be viewed after 7o'clock Saturday evening. The rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock Saturday and Sunday nights. Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock Monday morning at St. Paul's Church with the Rev. August Broekman celeebrant at the solemn requuiem high mass. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, six daughters and three sons. Tease had been employed at Kimberly Clark, Kimberly mill for 35 years, retiring in 1975. He enjoyed fixing bikes and softball, which he had played in a semi pro league, and looked forward to the world softball tourment in Kimberly. He was a member of the Holy Name Catholic Church, and the Quarter Century Club of Kimberly Clark.

Age 62, passed away at 2:35 p.m. Wednesday suddendly in Mesa, Arizona. Mr. Hopfensperger was born March 17, 1905 in Appleton and was a life long resident of Appleton. Mr. Hopfensperger was associated with his father in the meat business for many years prior to his retirement. He was a member of the 4th Degree of Knights of Columbus.

He was buried in St. Joseph Cemetery, Appleton. A delegation of the Catholic Knights of Wisconsin and of the Holy Name Society attended in a body.

She had been past treasurer of the Christian Mother's and head of the Clipper Club at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom, and a member of the Third Order of St. Francis. She also had been employed at Geenen's General Store in Freedom.

She is survived by a son and a daughter in-law; Ronald and Barbara Kieffer, Menominee Falls; a daughter and son in-law; Norma Jean and Luis Furhman, Kaukauna; six grandchildren; David, Don, Bob and John Furhman; Connie and Gretchen Kieffer; four great grandchildren; two brothers; Emil [Marie] Meulemans, Reedsville; Norbert [Ceil] Meulemans, Wrightstown; four sisters; Marguerite Frahm; Evelyn [John] Blick, both of Appleton; Edna [Henry] Spierings, Lorraine [William] Green, both of Freedom.

Age 68, died Tuesday, August 15, 1995 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He was born on August 13, 1927 in the Town of Grand Chute to Raymond J. Maertz and the Rose [Spoerl] Maertz. He married the former Geraldine I. Kilsdonk on May 15, 1951 at St. John Catholic Church, Little Chute. He was an instrument technician and pipe fitter, employed at the John Strange Paper Co., Menasha for 34 years, and then employed at Kimtech for 15 years, retiring in 1992. While at Kemtech, he was at KC-de Mexico for 1 year. He was a charter member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, was on the Buildings and Grounds Committee, was a director at the John Strange Paper Credit Union, NAPE, and the Knights of Columbus, Council 607. He was an avid gardener, bowler, fisher, handyman and enjoyed attending auctions.

Age 85, died peacefully with his family by his side Thursday, December 27, 2001. He was born October 19, 1916 in Little Chute, son of Joseph and Anna [Van Gompel] Verstegen. Ernest married Ann Loretta Peeters June 15, 1940 at St. John Catholic Church, Little Chute where he was a life long member and she preceded him in death April 30, 2001. As a High School Athlete his passion and skill for football earned him a scholarship at Jordan College, and the nickname 'Lightning'. He was a post World War Ii veteran, serving in Japan. Ernest was employed at Kimberly Clark Corp. for 38 years until his retirement. He enjoyed playing cards, bowling and golfing. His handy man skills were demonstrated in 1947, when he built his own home. He belonged to the Jacob Coppus American Legion Post 258, Little Chute and the Fox Valley Golf Club where he won their President's Cup in 1961.

Valentyne, Harry A.

Harry A. Valentyne, age 85, Kimberly, passed away suddenly at Appleton Medical Center due to complications from surgery. He was born on May 31, 1918 in Fairbault, Minn., the son of the late Peter and Anne (Smits) Valentyne. On Aug. 9, 1939 he married Maryann Weyenberg at St. John Catholic Church in Little Chute. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II in Okinawa. He was co-owner of Kimberly DX Service Station for many years, the custodian for the Kimberly Municipal Center, and also was the Municipal Judge in Kimberly for 14 years. Harry also was a He was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church and the Kimberly American Legion Post # 60. Harry enjoyed his cottage on Lake Poygan and camping with friends and relatives. Everyone appreciated his handiness; there was nothing he couldn’t fix for friends, family, and neighbors. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and spent much of the last part of his life caring for his wife Maryann 'Sis' who passed away in January of 2003.

Harry is survived by two sons, Dennis (Jan) of Kimberly; and Dave (Sandie) of Appleton; one daughter Meri (Lari) De Bruin of Combined Locks; eight grandchildren, Todd Valentyne of Kimberly; Tami (Dan) Kuether of Appleton; Tara (Dennis) De Both of Little Chute; Sherri (Mike) Gartzke of Menasha; Ben De Bruin (special friend Bobbi Myhre) of Little Chute; Eric De Bruin of Madison; and Dan and Troy De Bruin of Combined Locks; seven great-grandchildren, Taylor Valentyne, Brittany and Kaylie Kuether, Gage Leisgang, Casey De Both, and Jeremy and Rachel Gartzke. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Maryann; an infant son; his brother, Peter; his brothers-in-law, Orrie Milton, Nick Thurner, and Fabian Hietpas.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Monday, May 10, 2004 at 6 p.m. at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Kimberly with the Rev. Tom Pomeroy officiating. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Angels Catholic Church, Darboy. Burial will be in the Holy Angels Cemetery. Friends may call at the Greenwood Funeral Home, Kaukauna after 7 p.m. Tuesday. Rosary will be prayed at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Age 94, died Wednesday, June 15, 1994 at Parkside Care Center. She was born March 6, 1900 in Wrightstown, the daughter of the Late John and Julia [Verbeten] Van Lannen. Elvira married Gordon McDaniel and they farmed in Kaukauna for 25 years. She worked at Prange's in Appleton for 16 years. She married Harold Verbeten in 1974 and moved to Lake Boundry in Crivitz, they returned to Little Chute in 1985. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna, VFW Auxiliary 3319 and the Christian Mothers.

She is survived by two sons and three daughters in-law; Victor and Jane McDaniel, Appleton; James and Betty McDaniel, Kaukauna; Dona McDaniel, Neenah; two daughters and four sons in-law; Margaret and Lyle, Kaufman, Kimberly; Jane and David George, Kaukauna; Clarence Sullivan, Kaukauna; Paul Kersten, Appleton; 24 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren; a brother, Howard Verbeten, Little Chute. She is further survived by nine step-children; Lorraine and Harvey Van Vreede, Blanche and Geranl Pynenberg, Carol and Ronald De Bruin all of Little Chute; Florence and John DeGoey, Combined Locks, Marion and Clyde Helein, Appleton; Lois and Donald Gonnering, Freedom; Earl and Elizabeth Verbeten, Kaukauna; Ralph and Evelyn Verbeten, Little Chute; Robert and Doris Verbeten, Little Chute; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon McDaniel in 1946; her second husband Harold Verbeten in 1986; four children; Anna Marie McDaniel, Mary Sullivan, Joan Kersten and John H. McDaniel; three grandchildren; Carl McDaniel, Mary McDaniel and John Kersten.

The funeral services will be at 5 p,n, Friday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna with Father Paul Paider officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Sniderville. Friends may call at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 309 Desnoyer St., from 3 p.m. on Friday until the time of services. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for St. Jude's Childrens Hospital. There will be no visitation at the Fargo Funeral Home, Kaukauna.
