    Notes:

    Robert G. Weber, age 90, of Appleton, died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 with his loving family by his side. Bob was born in Appleton on April 5, 1923 to the late Joseph A. and Genevieve (Moran) Weber. After graduating high school, Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. After the war, Bob attended the University of Notre Dame where he received his BA in Mechanical Engineering. On January 10, 1953, he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Jean Nolan. The couple enjoyed 55 years together until her death in 2008. Bob worked as a Field Engineer from 1952 to 1962 for Honeywell and General Dynamics. He then worked as a salesman for Weber Knitwear until his retirement in 1996. Bob loved camping, especially his annual trips to the Boundary Waters. He also loved going to church - it wasn't uncommon for Bob to attend three Masses a day. He was a Fourth Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus and a very active member at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Appleton for many years.

    He is survived by 4 sons: Robert (Pat) Weber, MN, Kevin (Denise) Weber, Pueblo, CO, Brian (Susan) Weber, Denver, CO, and Tom (Susan) Weber, Honolulu, HI; 2 daughters: Mary Pat (Brad) Vande Venter, Appleton and Liz (Dan) Gara, Appleton; 18 grandchildren: Nolan, Reese, Reid, Chad, Nicholas, Ty, Dylan, Max, Jake, Kate, Alexander, Austin, Genevieve, Aidan, Jack, Neve, and Anne; 3 great grandchildren: Tre, Aarlyn, and Ella. 2 brothers: Ken (Terry) Weber, Chilton and Emmett (Ruth) Weber, DePere. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, sister, Lucille, and brother, Tom

    A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 414 W. Lawrence St., Appleton, with Father James Leary OFM Cap officiating. Friends may visit directly at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Appleton. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

    JOSEPH A. WEBER

    Formerly of 230 South Oak Street, age 88, died Wednesday morning at the home of his son Emmet, in Beaver Dam. He was born January 2, 1889 in Appleton. Mr. Weber was Vice President of Weber Knitting Mills and Weber Knit Wear for over 50 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a fifty year member of the Knights of Columbus and the Allouez General Assembly Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, a fifty year member of the Catholic Oreder of Foresters, a fifty year member of the United Commercial Travelers, a charter member of the Catholic War Veterans, and the Third Order of St. Francis. He was also active in Scouting for over 30 years. Survivors include a daughter Mrs. Joseph (Lucille) Welhouse, Green Bay; four sons, J. Thomas and Robert G, both of Appleton, Emmet H., Beaver Dam; Kenneth, Chilton; Two sisters; Miss Lena Weber, and Mrs. Elmer (Marcella) Kranzusch, both of Appleton; and 28 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Genevive, in June 1966. The funeral will be in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday. There will be a prayer service at 7;30 p.m. Friday.

    Mrs. Magdelena Weber, 90, 207 S. Badger Avenue, Appleton, died Saturday afternoon at her home after a short illness.

    She was born Feb. 3, 1866 in Rantoul and lived in Appleton since 1891.

    Funeral services were at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial in the parish cemetery.

    Survivors include two daughters, Miss Lena Weber, and Mrs. Elmer E. Kranzusch, both of Appleton; four sons, L. Nick., John, Joseph and George, all of Appleton; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
