    Mrs. William Vander Loop [Joyce L. Killian 1908 Parkwood Dr. Kaukauna

    Age 63, passed away with her family at her side on Wednesday, December 1, 1999 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton after a courageous battle with cancer. Joy was born on April 7, 1936 in Kaukauna, daughter of the late Henry and Susan [Schmitz] Killian. On July 13, 1957 she married Bill Vander Loop at St. Mary Catholic Church in Kaukauna. He survives. Joy enjoyed bowling, traveling, camping, flower gardening, knitting, card playing, watching Jana's softball games.

    Survivors include her husbane, Bill Vander Loop, Kaukauna; a son, David Vander Loop, Kaukauna; four daughters, Leanne [Kevin] Fiestadt, Kaukauna; Lezlie [David] Meehl, Kaukauna; Jana Vander Loop, Kaukauna; 12 grandchildren; Brett, Katie, Taylor, Connor and Paige Fiestadt; Dana, Jennifer, Leah and Craig, Harvey; Lauren, Nicole, and Eric Meehl; two brothers, Robert [Claire] Killian, Sylacagua, Alabama; and Paul [Jeanne] Killian, Kaukauna; three sisters, Marie [Ken] Van Elsen, Kaukauna; Rita [Frank] Wagner, Belleview, Florida; Jean [Herb] Hermsen, Thorp, Wisconsin; and two special friends, Joyc Wilz and Donna Farrell.

    Joy was preceded in death by her parents, and a granddaughter, Jacqueline Meehl.

    The funeral liturgy for Joy will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, December 6, 1999 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 134 W. Ann St. in Kaukauna with Fr. David Schmidt officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, directly at the church from 3 p.m. until the hour of services. In lieu of flowers, the family has established a memorial fund in her name.

    Age 53, died at 3:30 a.m. Friday after a long illness. He was born in Little Chute, April 12, 1907. Mr. VanDerLoop was a crane operator for Kimberly Clark Corp. for 33 years. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. John Catholic Church, Little Chute.

    After attending St. Mary School, Henry worked on the farm, at No9rton Machine Shoop, and two winters at Milwaukee. He served in World War I from 1917-1919. In 1919 he married Susan Schmitz and operated the home farm, Killian's Dairy, with his brother Joseph until 1947. The last ten years of his life were spent on Dodge Street, Kaukauna. During this time he worked at Van Zeeland Implement Company and later at the Badger Tissue Mills.
